The "What The Water Gave Me" series reflects the strength and vulnerability of New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina. I am standing in the middle of my studio facing my destruction to literally expose myself to the future.

On August 28, 2005 I slept in my car in Tallulah Louisiana. Feeder bands from Hurricane Katrina rocked my car back and forth. My white Toyota became my shelter. The next night I slept in slave quarters in Taylor town, Louisiana. I was in Henderson, Louisiana on August 30. I eventually landed in Lafayette, Louisiana. I slept in my friend Gabe Mills photography studio. I evacuated back to New Orleans for Hurricane Rita.

Currently I reside in Weathers Marine office building. I am still making art and dancing with the Pussyfooters. I am in the process of recreating myself with New Orleans.
